World Red Cross Day 2022

The theme this year is kindness:

The Zimbabwe Red Cross Society is currently conducting First Aid Refresher trainings for its volunteers across the country.

With funding from the British Red Cross, more than 250 volunteer first-aiders are acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to recognise life-threatening medical conditions and provide first-aid while waiting the intervention of specialised services. They are also getting other skills complementary to first aid training such as Psychological First Aid and psycho-social support. It is important that First aiders are always up to date with changing techniques to enhance their skills to handle a variety of emergencies and accidents.
